A new batch of 50 students to benefit from ‘BEST’ Project
The BEST Project goes into its last lap this year when the final batch of 50 students from SMK Kiaramas, Kuala Lumpur, start their Direct English classes next week.
The Direct English Malaysia team was privileged to be invited to the school on 28 Jan 2020 to meet and brief the project beneficiaries, comprising students and parents. Also present at the meeting were the school principal Pn Dahanum Bt. Soyono and her team of teachers / project coordinator.
‘BEST’, the acronym for “Be An Excellent Student”, is a CSR project initiated by Direct English Malaysia / Melewar Learning Resources in partnership with PINTAR Foundation and SMK Kiaramas. The project comes with a Direct English course sponsorship worth RM525K.
For the record, ‘BEST’ was launched in SMK Kiaramas in August 2018 and expected to be fully completed in July this year. To date, a total of 150 students from the school have already benefited from the programme.
